India A will be touring New Zealand to play a three-match, four-day red-ball series against New Zealand A, to be played between October 24 and November 10.
The upcoming series will serve as preparation for India’s two-match test series, which is part of the WTC 2025-27 cycle.
According to New Zealand Cricket, all three matches will be held in Christchurch at Bert Sutcliffe Oval and Hagley Oval. The series will take place alongside India’s white-ball tour of New Zealand.
The first match is scheduled for October 24 to 27, while the second match will be played between October 31 and November 03. The final match will be played from November 07 to November 10.
The fixtures will offer New Zealand’s leading domestic red-ball player a chance to compete against India’s emerging and fringe international talent.
Entry to all matches will be free, while the New Zealand A vs India A live streaming will be available on New Zealand Cricket’s YouTube channel and live scores will be provided on the NZC website.
The India A series will overlap with the start of India’s domestic Ranji Trophy season on October 11, resulting in selected players missing matches for their respective domestic teams.
New Zealand A players will continue to participate in domestic competitions, with the Ford Trophy scheduled from October 28 to November 12 and the Plunket Shield first-class competition starting on November 19.
The four-day series is expected to be significant preparation for both teams ahead of the senior sides’ two-test series.
India’s tour of New Zealand will feature five T20I, five ODIs, beginning on October 22. Meanwhile, the WTC Test series will begin from November 19 to 23, followed by the second Test in Christchurch from November 27 to December 01.
The test series will be part of the WTC cycle, where New Zealand currently stands third while India sits in fifth place in the WTC 2025-27 points table.
New Zealand has upcoming tours of Australia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan during this WTC cycle. Meanwhile, India will host Australia for a five-test series in January and February to complete their WTC fixtures.
