Reduction in players’ match fees
However, Sri Lanka Cricket has not yet made public how much punishment has been imposed on which players. The report claims that the match fees of the players involved in the controversy have been cut, but no detailed official information has been released by the board in this regard.
Pradeep Jayapragash was playing the role of match referee in this match. This action was taken against the players concerned after the incident was reviewed at their level. Action also taken against Dickwella who intervened

Despite this, disciplinary action was taken against him also.
According to the report, Dickwella has been punished not because of the Suryavanshi-Halambage controversy, but for excessive appeal during the match. For this reason his match fee was also reduced.
