New Delhi: India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan in the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. India clearly said that nuclear weapons cannot be made a weapon of everyday diplomacy and India will not bow down to any nuclear blackmail. Anmol Sher Singh Bedi, India's senior advisor in Geneva, replied under the right of reply. When Pakistan raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, India said that the entire Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. India asked Pakistan to vacate the illegally occupied areas.
India said that it is in favor of peace, but if accountability is not fixed on irresponsible actions then peace will remain just a pause between two crises.
Pakistan's pattern of creating trouble
India also exposed Pakistan's pattern. India said that first there is provocation from across the border, then it is denied and when India responds, restraint is said. Incitement to violence under the guise of non-state actors does not absolve the responsibility of any country and India's right to self-defence is safe.
India's three red lines
India stated its three clear policies on the international platform. First – Any terrorist attack on India will be given a befitting reply. Second – India will not bow down to nuclear threat. Third – No distinction will be made between those who shelter terrorism, those who fund it and those who plot conspiracies.
Stance on Indus Water Treaty and Operation Vermillion
India said that Operation Sindoor was a balanced step taken in self-defense after the killing of 26 civilians in Pahalgam. The Indus Water Treaty was based on mutual trust, therefore, until Pakistan completely ends terrorism, this treaty will remain in abeyance. Also India has A.Q. Referring to the Khan network, he expressed concern over nuclear proliferation and appealed to the world to take strict action on the transfer of advanced weapons.
