India cut off its nose in 1971, Pakistan is sending ‘shark’ to the Bay of Bengal again!
In 1971, India cut off Pakistan’s nose in the Bay of Bengal. Since then, Pakistan has not dared to face this. After 55 years, Shahbaz-Munirs have started showing prosperity in China and Bangladesh. After many years, Islamabad is planning to send shark submarines to the Bay of Bengal again. India has become wary of Pakistan’s attitude.
It is known that Pakistan bought this submarine from China. The submarine reached Karachi port only last week. This state-of-the-art submarine has Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology. Usually diesel and electric submarines have to surface to recharge their batteries or to use the snorkel. But with AIP technology, submarines can stay under water for a long time. As a result, they are difficult to identify and track. The Pakistan Navy has started surveillance activities in the Arabian Sea after receiving this modern submarine.

Pak Navy Fleet Commander Umar Farooq said at a function organized on board the Pakistani warship PNS Timur in Colombo port that the induction of Shark class submarines will help increase their presence in the Bay of Bengal. Farooq referred to this submarine as a ‘game changer’. He said that the Pakistan Navy will include a total of 8 submarines of this class. Shark is his first submarine. It is assumed that along with China, Bangladesh also supports this activity of Pak Navy in the Bay of Bengal. After the fall of Hasina’s government, Bangladesh became closer to Pakistan during Yunus’s advisory government. Army officers of the two countries visit each other’s countries. It is heard that weapons are supplied from Pakistan to expose radicalism in Bangladesh. This time the presence of Pakistan in the Bay of Bengal is definitely a concern.
It should be noted that during the Liberation War in 1971, Pakistan had considerable traffic in the Bay of Bengal. Pakistan army started genocide by using all their power to keep East Pakistan under their control. India came to the aid of East Pakistan in this situation. Pakistan submarine INS Ghazi was destroyed off the coast of Andhra during that time. After East Pakistan became Bangladesh, Pakistan did not follow this path. India’s hostile neighbors have started jumping again after getting new submarines. But if that situation arises, it is not enough to say that India has enough equipment to kill sharks.
