India extended its hand on Venezuela devastation, PM Modi said – standing together in this time of crisis

Caracas. There have been 32 accidents due to the earthquake in the South American country Venezuela, while about 700 people have been injured. There is a possibility of further increase in the number of casualties in this accident. In view of the scale of the accident, the acting President has imposed emergency in the country.

PM Modi saddened by the devastation in Venezuela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of life and property due to the devastating earthquake in Venezuela and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and expressed India’s desire to provide all possible assistance.

Condolences expressed towards the families of the victims

PM Modi on Thursday expressed deep concern over the loss of life and property in the massive earthquake in Venezuela on social media platform ‘X’ and expressed solidarity with all the people affected by this tragedy. He said that India is ready to provide all possible assistance in this difficult time.

The Prime Minister wrote,

“I am deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the massive earthquakes in Venezuela. On behalf of the people of India, I express our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Venezuela, especially the families who have lost their loved ones. We wish the speedy recovery of the injured and stand in solidarity with all affected people in this difficult time. India stands ready to provide all possible assistance.

The American organization USGS said that immediately after one earthquake, another earthquake occurred. These two earthquakes occurred 16 km from Moron city of Venezuela and 24 km from San Felipe at 6:04 pm on Wednesday (3:34 am on Thursday, Indian time). Their intensity was measured at 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale.

This has caused massive devastation in many areas including the capital Caracas. The earthquake’s tremors were felt throughout the country and in other parts of Latin America including Colombia.

According to US tsunami warning centers, there is no longer any tsunami threat. Classes in schools across the country have been suspended for a week, and train services and non-essential activities have been temporarily cancelled. Caracas International Airport is temporarily closed. Hundreds of personnel, including Venezuelan security forces, are now on the scene to deal with the crisis.
