New Delhi, 4 May 2026: A new example of the close relations between India and Jamaica was seen in the historic Sabina Park Cricket Stadium of Jamaica. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar formally dedicated the state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard gifted by India in the presence of Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness. During the unveiling of the scoreboard, Dr. Jaishankar described sports as an important link between the two countries. In his address in Jamaica, he said, “The story of India and Jamaica is written with runs, respect and great friendship. This scoreboard will witness many great innings in the future, including the India-Jamaica friendship.”
