New Delhi: India has performed brilliantly at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, securing fourth place in the medal table with 39 medals. A record seven gold medals in boxing, a historic success in judo, and excellent performances in athletics and para-athletics have propelled India into the top four.

India has made history by securing fourth place in the medal tally at the 2026 Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow. On the 10th day, India won 16 medals, thanks to impressive performances in boxing, judo, athletics, and para-athletics. India’s medal tally now stands at 39, including 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze. India finished fourth, behind Australia, England, and Canada.

What’s remarkable is that this time, India performed exceptionally well even without its strong sports like wrestling, badminton, and hockey. A record-breaking seven gold medals in boxing, two gold medals for the first time in judo, and several historic achievements in athletics made India’s campaign memorable.

India’s biggest success came in boxing. In the women’s category, Preeti Pawar (54 kg), Jasmine Lamboria (57 kg), Sakshi Chaudhary (51 kg), Arundhati Chaudhary (70 kg) and Priya Ghanghas (60 kg) won gold medals. In the men’s category, Sachin Siwach (60 kg) and Ankush (70 kg) also won gold. Lovlina Borgohain, Jadumani Singh and Narendra Berwal won silver medals, taking India’s total boxing tally to 10 medals, pushing India to fourth in the points table.
