India-US partnership strengthened in Indo-Pacific. CDS Anil

The strategic partnership between India and America is continuously deepening amid the changing geopolitical equations in the Indo-Pacific region. In this direction, India’s Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan met Kevin B., a senior officer of the American Indo-Pacific Command. Had an important meeting with Schneider.

New Delhi: An important meeting was held to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and America. India’s Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan held discussions with Kevin B. Schneider, a senior official of the US Indo-Pacific Command. In this meeting, both sides reiterated their common commitment to maintain peace, stability and security in the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, emphasis was laid on further deepening regional security and defense cooperation.

This conversation has taken place at a time when the Indo-Pacific region remains extremely important from a global strategic point of view and many countries are trying to strengthen their presence here.

Expanding strategic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific

The Indo-Pacific region has today become the center of global politics and security. Keeping in mind the increasing tension in the region and the security of sea routes, India and America have decided to further expand their partnership. During the meeting, both countries made it clear that they will continue to work together to maintain the rules-based international order and ensure maritime security.

According to the Integrated Defense Staff Headquarters, in this talk, along with bilateral cooperation, it was also agreed to increase coordination between the three services (Army, Navy and Air Force).

Special emphasis on technical and defense cooperation

The role of technology has become extremely important in the changing nature of modern warfare. In this meeting, both the countries stressed the need to further deepen technical cooperation in the defense sector. Already between India and America:

  • joint military exercises
  • intelligence sharing
  • defense technology exchange

Cooperation is continuing in areas such as. Now there was discussion on further strengthening these aspects, so that future security challenges can be faced in a better way.

Strategic dialogue also increased with Britain

Earlier, CDS Anil Chauhan also held several important meetings with senior military officers of the United Kingdom. He met Britain’s top official Richard Knighton and discussed issues like global security, cyber threats and economic imbalance. In these meetings, India and Britain also agreed to increase cooperation to maintain peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. It is clear from this that India is giving priority to multilateral defense cooperation.

During his visit to Britain, CDS also addressed the Royal College of Defense Studies. Here he highlighted in detail the changing nature of modern warfare, cyber warfare, hybrid warfare and new security challenges. He also talked about how India is playing an active role in maintaining peace and stability at the global level. According to him, future wars will go beyond traditional boundaries, where technology, information and cyber capabilities will play a decisive role.
