India reached the last four after topping Pool A with four wins from four matches. Harmanpreet Singh’s side opened with a 13-1 win over Indonesia, followed it with a 16-1 victory against Sri Lanka, defeated South Korea 8-2 and then beat Japan 2-0.
Pakistan finished second in Pool B after three wins and one loss. They beat Thailand 9-0, Uzbekistan 5-1 and China 3-0 before suffering a 4-5 defeat against Malaysia.

The squad was assembled around the same core that represented Pakistan at the 2026 World Cup.
