Indian Navy gets new strength! INS Mahendragiri joins, will accurately attack enemies with BrahMos missile

Country. The Indian Navy received another state-of-the-art warship on Saturday. In a ceremony held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh launched the stealth frigate INS Mahendragiri, built with 75 percent indigenous technology. This warship is equipped with modern weapons and advanced technology and if needed, BrahMos supersonic cruise missile can also be deployed on it.

Prepared with 75 percent indigenous technology-
Addressing the ceremony, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that about 75 percent of the equipment and materials used in INS Mahendragiri are indigenous. This warship is a major achievement in the direction of India’s defense manufacturing capability and self-reliance.

He said that this ship is equipped with modern technologies and is capable of countering threats coming from air, sea and underwater simultaneously.

BrahMos missile will increase its firepower
The Defense Minister said that BrahMos missile system can also be deployed on this stealth frigate. This will increase its attack capability manifold and will further strengthen the maritime security of the Indian Navy.

‘Navy is also protecting the economic interests of the country’-
Rajnath Singh said that in today’s time, a strong and quick-responding navy is very important for the security of any country. He said that after the conflict started in West Asia, the Indian Navy provided safe passage to merchant ships carrying essential goods worth more than Rs 9 thousand crore under Operation Urja Suraksha.

He said that this has proved that the Indian Navy not only protects the maritime borders but has also emerged as a strong protector of the country’s economic interests.

Andhra Pradesh is becoming a new center of defense manufacturing-
The Defense Minister said that Andhra Pradesh is fast emerging as an important hub in the defense and aerospace manufacturing sector of the country. He expressed confidence that this state will further strengthen India’s defense production capacity in the times to come.
