Indian team’s trinity will be seen in ODI after 967 days, there will be a clash with England
Desk. Now the ODI series is going to start between India and England. The preparations for both the teams are almost complete, now the strategy is being considered. Meanwhile, that trinity will once again be seen in the Indian team, which was not visible for the last several years. We are talking about Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Yes, after a long time this pair will be seen together again in the field.
Recently in June, when a three-match ODI series was played between India and Afghanistan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were selected in the team, but shortly before the start of the series, Virat Kohli was out due to injury. Now when India and England teams face each other in the first ODI on July 14, Kohli will be seen in it.
Earlier, Kohli had played his last ODI on 18 January 2026. Then the ODI series was being played between India and New Zealand. Kohli had played a century inning of 124 runs in that match, but after that he was out of the field. If Kohli comes to bat in the next match, it will be his 300th innings and he will equal former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.
Rohit Sharma was a part of Team India in the last ODI series also, but Jasprit Bumrah will play ODI after a very long gap. Jasprit Bumrah played his last ODI on 19 November 2023. Then the final of ODI World Cup 2023 was played. In that match, Australia had shattered Team India’s dream by defeating it. Since then, Bumrah has not played any One Day International match. The next ODI will be on 14th July, if the days are counted from 19th November 2023 till now then it is 967 days. Now if everything goes well in the next match, all three players are going to be seen together on the field for the same number of days.
