The hearing of this case is going on in the NIA court of Jammu and the court has already issued a non-bailable warrant against Hafiz Saeed. Now a formal summons will be sent to the court to appear in the trial. If Hafiz Saeed does not appear then the trial will be started in his absence.
This action will be taken under Section 365 of BNSS-2023, which is called Trial in Absentia. It is noteworthy that this terrorist attack in Pahalgam took place on 22 April 2025, when firing was done targeting tourists in Baisaran Valley.
India can stop water, Pak minister again gave statement
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has given another statement regarding India. He expressed concern over India's decision to put the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance.
Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan is now facing a danger that India can stop water at the time of need and use it as a weapon. He said that India is a coastal country.
From where the rivers flow to Pakistan and India is taking advantage of its geographical position and making water a weapon. In fact, India had put the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance after the Pahalgam terrorist attack in April 2025.
India clearly says that the treaty will not be reinstated until Pakistan stops supporting cross-border terrorism. Pakistan is calling this step of India as unilateral and illegal.
This step of sending summons to Hafiz Saeed makes it clear that India is not going to release the culprits of Pahalgam attack at any cost, even if they are hiding in Pakistan.
