International Cricket Stadium : Second cricket stadium to be built in Delhi-NCR. This International Cricket Stadium will be located in Rajnagar Extension of Ghaziabad. Preparations for this have been intensified. Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) to survey the stadium and prepare a detailed project report (DPR) will appoint a consultant to prepare. A request for proposals has been published. Interested agencies have been given time till September 18 to apply.

It will be done jointly by UPCA and GDA

This cricket stadium was built by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and will be done jointly by GDA. GDA and UPCA will have 50% ownership in the land, construction and management of the project. Recently, GDA and UPCA jointly designed a cricket stadium. Housing Department Principal Secretary P. Survey and DPR preparation process started

The design was approved by the Principal Secretary, Housing Department. Now, GDA has started the survey and DPR preparation process for the project. A consultant agency will be appointed to carry out the survey and prepare the DPR, which will be identified. Interested agencies can apply till September 18. Bids will open on September 21.

An MoU will be signed between UPCA and GDA

After GDA identifies an agency, it will be given permission to work on the project. The agency will then survey the entire project, prepare the layout and prepare the DPR. The entire process is expected to take two months. After the DPR is prepared, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between UPCA and GDA regarding the construction of the stadium.

It may be noted that 33 acres of land has been identified for the construction of a stadium in Rajnagar Extension. This stadium will be built on PPP model. It will accommodate 45,000 spectators and have all the modern facilities. UPCA bought this land for Rs 70 crore.
