Kolkata is hosting the national event of International Yoga Day this time, and its main event will be held on the city’s famous Red Road. But the most unique and record-making performance will be seen in the middle of the Hooghly river, where yoga sessions are being organized simultaneously on more than 500 boats.

An amazing sight will be seen on the Hooghly River, where more than 500 passenger and tourist boats will gather together at Babughat in Kolkata. The organizing committee will arrange all these boats in the water of Hooghly river in such a way that when seen from the sky, beautiful shapes like various yoga postures are seen being formed in the water. This unique display will showcase the river culture of West Bengal on the global stage.

Kolkata will be decorated with drone show and art competitions

There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm regarding this celebration of Yoga Day in Kolkata. Before the main event on June 21, many types of activities are being organized in the city. It has started on June 19 with the Run to Meditation initiative at 11 different places in Kolkata. Apart from this, ‘Cycling for Wellness’, special sessions in schools and offices and special yoga programs for women and elderly have been planned.

Therefore, Red Road and Maidan area of ​​central Kolkata has been transformed into an impenetrable fort. About 4,000 policemen are being deployed to take charge of the security arrangements.
