New rule of land registry implemented in Bihar, entire process changed
News Desk. A major change has been made for those buying and selling land in Bihar. With the aim of making the land registry process more transparent and secure, the Land Reforms and Revenue Department has implemented the photography-based registration system. Under this new rule, now in some areas, before registering the land, it will be mandatory for the buyer and the seller to visit the concerned land and get photographs taken. Only after this the registration process can proceed.
Land identification will be easy
The main objective of the new system is to stop land related disputes, fake documents and wrongful buying and selling. Taking photographs of the spot before registry will ensure that the plot of land being sold is genuine.
Rule implemented in many areas of Shahpur
Many important places of Shahpur area of Arrah district have been included in this system. These include areas like Karnamepur, Mishrawalia, Lilari, Biloti, Randadih, Semaria, Hariharpur, Jhauwan. Shahpur Nagar Panchayat area was already included in the scope of this system.
Decision in view of rising land prices
Buying and selling of land is increasing rapidly in these areas. Due to better market and road connectivity in many places, the demand for land has increased continuously. In areas like Karnamepur, the price of land in the main market and on the roadside has increased significantly. At the same time, land prices are continuously increasing in general areas also.
New system will stop land fraud
The Revenue Department believes that the photography-based registry system will identify genuine land, stop the sale of disputed land, reduce cases of fake documents, reduce the role of middlemen, and provide more security to people buying and selling land. After the implementation of the new system, the process of land registry will now be more scrutinized than before. Buyers will also have to be more careful before purchasing land.
