Investigation of medical stores in Triveniganj
Triveniganj, Supaul.On the instructions of the Assistant Drug Controller, a three-member team conducted a surprise inspection of various medical stores located in Triveniganj Municipal Council market on Saturday. The objective of the campaign was to stop the illegal trade of narcotic and banned medicines and to check compliance with the rules in the medicine shops.
During the inspection, Drug Inspector Sarfaraz Alam said that a special campaign is being run by the department to monitor the purchase and sale of narcotic drugs and NRx category drugs. In this sequence, five medical stores of Triveniganj market were inspected. The team scrutinized the records of purchase and sale of NRX related medicines in the shops and examined the necessary documents.
He said that drug shopkeepers have been instructed to purchase NRX category medicines only on the basis of valid and original bills and to keep complete accounts of the sales safe. If any irregularity or violation of rules is found in any shop during the investigation, then legal action will be taken against the concerned shopkeeper.
The Drug Inspector said that this investigation campaign will continue in the future so that effective control can be maintained on the trade of banned and illegal drugs. The investigation team included Drug Inspector Sarfaraz Alam along with Drug Inspector Nirbhay Kumar Gupta and Surendra Ram. Due to this action of the department, an atmosphere of panic was seen among the medical store operators.
