BCCI Hotel Entry Ban: Amidst the excitement of IPL 2026, BCCI has issued a security related advisory for all the teams. To strengthen the safety of players and support staff, the rules for guests and outsiders visiting hotels have now been made more strict than before.

It is now mandatory to keep records of every visitor

BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has made it clear to all the teams that the IPL operations team will itself check from time to time whether the security rules are being followed or not. Along with this, it will now be the responsibility of the team managers to maintain complete accounts and records of every guest coming and going to the hotel.

Ban on entry of outsiders in hotel rooms

The board has warned that some players and staff were inviting outsiders to their hotel rooms without informing them, about which even the team manager was not aware. In view of this major lapse in security, BCCI has now completely banned any such meeting.

No entry into hotel room without manager’s approval

According to the new rules, now no person will be able to go to the hotel room without first informing the team manager and taking his written permission. BCCI has made it clear that meeting the guests will happen only in public places like hotel lobby or reception. If a guest has to be taken to the room, then it is now mandatory to take written approval from the manager.
