Iran Attacked US Vessels: Iran According to Tasnim, a semi-official news agency, Iranian forces have taken major action in the Sea of Oman after the US military fired on an Iranian merchant ship and captured it. The IRGC has carried out drone attacks targeting American military ships. These attacks are being seen as a sharp increase in tension amid the ongoing two-week fragile ceasefire in the region.
According to Tasneem, these drone attacks were carried out in direct response to American action. However, the report did not say how large the attacks were, how many drones were used or whether there was any damage to American assets. After this, it is feared that America may retaliate against this attack. If this happens then this war will start again.
How did the controversy start?
In fact, earlier the US Army had said that it fired on an Iranian cargo ship heading towards Iran’s Bandar Abbas port and later captured it completely. US President Donald Trump had said that this ship named ‘Tuska’ was trying to break the naval embargo imposed by America near Hormuz.

Trump had said in a post on Truth Social that American Marines boarded the ship after ignoring warnings. He said, “At this time the US Marines are in possession of the ship. The ship is completely under our control and we are seeing what is in it.” He also said that sanctions were imposed on this ship by the US Treasury on charges of illegal activities.
What did Iran say?
Iran’s military command ‘Khatam al-Anbia’ accused the US of violating the ceasefire and described the action as “armed piracy”. After this action of America, it was clear that Iran was going to retaliate.
A spokesman said US forces fired on the ship, disabled its navigation system and then captured it. “The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond to this armed piracy,” he said.
Crisis on ceasefire and talks amid tensions?
After these incidents, questions are being raised whether the ceasefire will last for the stipulated time. Iran has said that it will not participate in the second round of talks proposed by America. He cited the ongoing blockade, “excessive demands” and America’s changing stance as the reasons behind this.

Earlier there were indications that Vice President JD Vance would lead the talks in Islamabad, but later Trump’s statements seemed to change the situation. Meanwhile, Pakistan, which is playing the role of mediator, is increasing security preparations ahead of the proposed meeting.
Trump also warned that if Iran does not accept his terms, the US could target Iran’s infrastructure such as bridges and power plants. In response, Iran said that any attack on its civilian infrastructure would be responded to by attacks on power and water plants connected to US bases in the Gulf countries.
