Iran denies talks with America, approves Qatar’s mediation, tries to reduce tension

A big news has come amid increasing tension between Iran and America. Iran has approved the visit of a Qatari delegation to Mashhad to bring peace between the two countries. However, Iran has clearly denied that it had made any demand for talks with America.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi was also present in this meeting. The main objective of this visit was to reduce the growing conflicts between Washington and Tehran and to pave the way for bigger talks in the future.

Dispute over the Strait of Hormuz

This meeting took place at a time when enmity between the two countries had increased. Qatar had accused Iran of an incident that took place in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson described these allegations as false and said that it is against the principles of being a good neighbor and is completely unacceptable.

Donald Trump’s claim

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump said a different thing on his social media platform Truth Social. Trump claimed that Iran had asked him to continue talks and he had agreed to it. Trump also made it clear that the ceasefire has now ended.

According to reports, in the talks with the Qatari delegation, the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the US and Iran and resolving disputes related to the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz were discussed. A source associated with Iran’s negotiating team termed the media reports of direct talks with America as false. At the same time, a senior American official said that his government is ready to resolve this matter and discussions are going on at the technical level.
