IRE vs IND: Shock to Team India before Ireland tour, all-rounder chosen in place of Hardik is OUT

Team India will soon play series against Ireland and England. But before that there is a bad news. Team India’s all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will not be able to play the T20 series against Ireland. According to BCCI sources, it is not certain that he will play in the England tour. He may be out of both series due to quadriceps injury. Nitish Kumar Reddy is out of Ireland series. It is not sure yet whether he will play the white ball series in England or not. Nitish was selected in the T20 and ODI squads for both the series.
In the absence of Hardik Pandya, he was India’s main weapon. But now his absence has increased the team’s worries. Nitish Kumar Reddy is troubled by injuries since last year. In the IPL 2025 season, he was able to bowl only five overs in 13 matches. Due to a knee injury, he had to withdraw midway from the Test series against England.
He did not bat in that match
Nitish Reddy suffered a quadriceps injury in the ODI series against Afghanistan. He took the first wicket of his ODI career in Dharamsala. After that, he did not play in the second ODI against Lucknow. Captain Gill had cited quadriceps injury as the reason. But he played in the third ODI against Chennai. He did not take a single wicket for 42 runs in 6 overs. He did not bat in that match.
India’s tour of Ireland is in discussion for two reasons
India’s tour of Ireland will start from June 26. Team India will play two T20 matches in Belfast. Team India players will go to Belfast from London. India’s tour of Ireland is in the news for two reasons. This is Shreyas Iyer’s first tour after becoming the captain of the T20 team and the second reason is that Vaibhav Suryavanshi can be seen making his debut. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was a flop in the first four matches of India A’s tour of Sri Lanka. But he played a tremendous innings in the final. He scored 94 runs in 29 balls.
