Beijing. A case of alleged inhumane treatment of a four-year-old girl has come to light in a kindergarten in China. It is alleged that while talking in the class, the teacher applied hot glue on the girl’s lips, due to which she got serious blisters on her lips. After the incident came to light, the teacher has been suspended, while the police is investigating the matter.
According to media reports, the matter pertains to a kindergarten located in Faxian County of Jiangsu province of China. The incident is said to have taken place on the morning of 27th May. It is alleged that the teacher was angry with the children talking in the class and she called some children to her one by one to punish them.
It was told that the CCTV footage first showed the incident of applying glue gun on the palm of a small child. After this the four year old girl was called. According to the footage, the girl was trying to move away, but the teacher caught her and applied hot glue twice on her upper lip.
According to the report, during this time another teacher present nearby did not intervene. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera.
After reaching home, swelling and blisters started appearing on the girl’s lips. After some time, there was a complaint of pus coming out from the wound, after which the family took him to the hospital. After seeing the condition of the girl, the family informed the police and sought answers from the school.
During the investigation, when the family saw the CCTV footage, the girl’s mother expressed deep grief over the incident. They allege that the teacher initially called the injury an accident, but after the video surfaced, the matter appeared different.
Police and local administration are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the school management has suspended the concerned teacher.
It is noteworthy that glue gun is generally used in craft and decorative works. It uses hot glue, which can cause irritation and blisters if it comes in contact with skin.
