Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Held a high level review meeting of various issues related to urban development in Jaipur city at the Chief Minister’s residence. In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on easy transportation, cleanliness, beautification and well-organized urban development.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Directed the officials to give top priority to traffic management in the city and take concrete and effective steps for permanent solution to the problem of traffic jam. He asked to prepare a time bound action plan to strengthen the traffic system at major intersections and busy routes, upgrade the signal system, remove encroachments and organize parking management.

Instructions were also given in the meeting that all the concerned departments should work with mutual coordination, so that effective implementation of the schemes can be ensured and the common people can get relief.

Laying special emphasis on completing all the preparations before the monsoon, the Chief Minister said that comprehensive cleaning of the drains and drainage systems of the city should be ensured. Also, possible places of waterlogging should be identified and regular monitoring should be maintained there, so that citizens do not have to face any kind of problem during the rains.

He clarified that making Jaipur clean, beautiful and jam free is one of the priorities of the state government. For this, equal attention will have to be paid to technical improvements, administrative strictness and public participation.

In the meeting, officials informed about the progress of various schemes and presented the upcoming action plan. The Chief Minister directed all the departments to complete the work within the stipulated time and maintain quality.

This review meeting is being considered an important step towards making Jaipur a smart and organized city, which will provide better transportation and basic facilities to the city residents in the coming times.
