TVK dominates in Tamil Nadu trends, Stalin behind in Kolathur, signs of big upheaval!
After six rounds of counting in Kolathur assembly seat, TVK candidate VS Babu is leading with 24,993 votes, while Stalin is second with 20,982 votes. The AIADMK candidate is far behind with 5,982 votes. Whereas, Nam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) has got 1,801 votes. This seat has been considered a DMK stronghold for a long time, but this time a big change is being seen here.
TVK’s lead is not limited to just one seat. After the third round in Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar seat, the party is leading with 5,142 votes, while DMK has got 3,182 votes and AIADMK has got 1,409 votes.
TVK is also leading in many important seats of Chennai (Egmore, Anna Nagar, Villivakkam and Thousand Lights), which seems to be strengthening the party’s hold in urban areas.
However, DMK has also got some relief. Senior leader V. Senthil Balaji is leading in Coimbatore South seat after the second round. Whereas veteran AIADMK leader SP. Velumani is leading in Thondamuthur seat after six rounds.
DMDK leader Premalatha Vijayakanth is trailing in Vriddhachalam seat, which has also shocked the smaller parties. Vijay himself is leading in the Perambur seat after four rounds and in the Tiruchi East seat after three rounds, which shows a strong performance by the party.
Meanwhile, there is news that TVK has booked a resort in Mahabalipuram, where the winning MLAs will be kept, so that possible manipulations can be avoided.
TVK national spokesperson Felix Gerald has expressed confidence that the party will form the government by securing an absolute majority. He said that the public is angry with traditional parties and now sees TVK as a strong alternative.
As the counting of votes progresses, it is becoming clear that a major change is possible in the politics of Tamil Nadu, where TVK is emerging as a strong challenger.
