Operation Sindoor: A new report has emerged regarding Markaz Subhanallah of Jaish-e-Mohammed located in Bahawalpur, which was targeted by the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor. It has been claimed that this complex has been rebuilt in about 15 months. According to reports, the building has been repaired, painted and the damaged parts have been rebuilt.
Was targeted in Operation Sindoor
According to reports, in May 2025, India had taken action against terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied areas under Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In this action, Markaz Subhanallah of Jaish-e-Mohammed located in Bahawalpur was also claimed to be damaged.
Claim to be ready again in 15 months
According to media reports, it has been claimed that the damaged parts of Markaz Subhanallah have been rebuilt. This is said to include repair of domes, installation of new marble, plaster and paint work. According to the report, the structure of the entire building has been reinforced.
Claim of financial help from Pakistan government
The report claims that about 25 crore Pakistani rupees were provided by the Government of Pakistan for this reconstruction. Apart from this, construction work is also said to be going on in Madrasa Al-Sabeer and other parts of the campus.
Markaz has been included in the old bases of Jaish
This complex located in Bahawalpur is said to be about 100 kilometers away from the India-Pakistan border. Spread over about 18 acres, this campus is also known as Usman-O-Ali Campus. According to reports, there have been allegations of training, recruitment and ideological activities related to Jaish-e-Mohammed going on here.
Serious allegations have been made against Jaish earlier also
The name of Jaish-e-Mohammed has been linked to many major terrorist attacks in India. These include the 2001 Parliament attack, 2016 Pathankot airbase attack and 2019 Pulwama attack. At the same time, Pakistan has expressed objection regarding the documentary made on Operation Sindoor. Pakistani Army spokesperson has called it propaganda.
