A girl jumped into the Chenab river from the Prem Nagar bridge in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. He had told the people around him that he had decided to commit suicide.
However, the reason for the girl’s suicide is not yet known. SDRF team and local residents are searching for him in the river, but till now nothing has been found.
The girl was returning from the fair
At the time of the incident, the woman has been identified as Payal Devi, who is the daughter of Krishna Lal. She had gone to a fair and was returning home on a bike with an acquaintance from her village. According to reports, Payal’s dupatta got stuck in the motorcycle while returning from the fair. The person driving the motorcycle stopped the vehicle to remove the dupatta.
According to reports, Payal moved towards the edge of Prem Nagar bridge and told the people present there that she was going to commit suicide. The people present on the bridge tried to convince him and requested him not to take such a step. The biker also called his father and informed him about the incident. His father spoke to him on the phone and tried to intervene. However, Payal reportedly told them that this was her life and she had decided to end it.
‘Bye bye papa’ were the last words
According to reports, the girl’s last words while talking to her father were, “Bye bye papa”, after which she jumped into the Chenab river. Following the incident, local residents, police teams and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel launched a search operation to locate Payal. However, his body has not been found yet. His search is going on in Chenab river.
