Jan Suraj Party has complained about the administration to the Election Commission. The party alleges that even after the implementation of the code of conduct, the police and administration are intimidating opposition workers at the behest of the government. On Wednesday, a 7-member delegation led by State President Manoj Bharti met the Chief Electoral Officer and submitted a memorandum. The delegation also included MLC Afaq Ahmed, former MLA Kishore Kumar Munna, national spokesperson Kumar Saurabh, Siddhanath Rai and Lalan Yadav.

Raids in houses at midnight, without FIR being raised
While talking to the media, the State President said that the police is reaching the houses of Jan Suraj workers in Patna and other districts without any reason. The raid is being conducted at midnight. Due to this, wrong message is being sent among the workers and the election environment is getting spoiled. He enumerated many examples. According to Bharti, the police of Pirbahore police station reached the house of a worker at midnight, while he was returning from Jan Suraj’s meeting. On July 21, Afroz Ahmed and Tausif were kept in the police station without any reason.
The police of Buddha Colony police station went to the house of party state secretary Ravi Narayan at midnight and harassed him. Police reached the house of leader Shahnawaz Alam in Siwan in 7-8 vehicles and interrogated him unnecessarily. Bharti demanded from the Chief Electoral Officer that all these cases should be investigated and the government should be instructed to take action against the guilty officials.
BJP is scaring voters in Bankipur
Bharti also made serious allegations regarding Bankipur assembly constituency. He said that the code of conduct is being flouted here. Apart from 202 NDA MLAs, 45 MLCs, 33 ministers, 30 MPs, former ministers and former MLAs are roaming around in Bankipur with their security team and intimidating the voters. He also said that the businessmen of Bankipur are being targeted. In the name of administration, they are being threatened with IT and GST raids so that they do not support Jan Suraj.

We are fighting elections democratically
The State President said that Jan Suraj is contesting the elections democratically but under the pressure of power, the administration and police are targeting the workers of the opposition party. This is not good for democracy. Jan Suraj has demanded the Election Commission to immediately intervene and ensure fair elections. Also instruct the administration to work neutrally. The party has also submitted the evidence to the commission. Now it remains to be seen what action the Chief Electoral Officer takes on this complaint.
