China's famous automobile manufacturer 'Jetur' is preparing to launch a new and advanced model of its popular SUV 'T2' in the Chinese market. The 5-seater, which will be publicly displayed at the 'Chengdu Motor Show', has been named 'Traveler 7' in China. This new update is considered very important as this premium plug-in hybrid SUV will enter the Indian automobile market in India through 'JSW Motors'.
Noticeable changes in design and look
The exterior design of the new Jettur T2 has undergone a number of major and attractive changes. The car gets new circular headlamps in place of the old square headlights, which are flanked by a slim LTD light strip. The name 'Jetour' is engraved on the bonnet in a new way. In addition, the old black bumper has been replaced with a body-coloured bumper, which makes the front of the car look more attractive and premium. The rear bumper of the car has also been given a casual and modern makeover.

Powerful hybrid engine and driving range
Cherry company's 'i-DM Dual Mode' plug-in hybrid system has been used in this new model. It combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a powerful electric motor, which together generates 360 PS of power and 610 Nm of torque. It is also available in an all-wheel drive variant in the international market, which delivers 462 PS of power. It gets battery pack options of 27.2 kWh and 43.24 kWh capacity, offering an all-electric range of up to 100 km and 160 km respectively. Apart from this, 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre pure petrol engine options will also be available.

Arrival in Indian market
JSW Motors can import and assemble this car in CKD form in the Indian automobile market. It is highly likely that the car will be introduced in India mainly in its plug-in hybrid version. When this car is launched in the Indian premium SUV segment, it will give a tough competition to the cars of other big companies due to its luxury design and modern technology.
