In this, six months recharge will be available with 4G phone. The aim of the company is to bring 2G users to 4G. Along with calling and data, many facilities will also be available in the offer.
Phone and six months connectivity for Rs 1499
JioBharat 4G phone will be available for Rs 1499 in anniversary offer. This price includes six months of recharge benefits. You will get 14GB data and unlimited HD voice calls every month. This offer is available for a limited period. Company terms and conditions will apply.
According to Jio, the price of the phone is only Rs 299.
Jio has also given a different calculation of this offer. Suppose a 2G user spends Rs 199 every month. Its recharge cost in six months will be around Rs 1,200. At the same time, the price of this offer is Rs 1,499. Six months of connectivity is already included in it. Accordingly, the company says the effective price of the phone is Rs 299.
Preparation to bring 2G users to 4G
Jio says the offer is targeted at 2G users. The company has introduced it during the festive season. Its aim is to make upgrading to 4G more affordable. However, Jio has not given complete details of the model. It is not clear which JioBharat phones are included in this offer.
Many entertainment options will be available in the phone
JioBharat phones are not limited to just calling and data. In these, access to many entertainment services of Jio is available. More than 500 TV channels are available on JioTV. Live cricket and movies can be watched on JioHotstar. Users also get access to millions of songs through the music service.
You can make UPI payment through JioPay
JioBharat phones have the facility of UPI payment through JioPay. Payment alert and sound box feature is also available in it. This makes it easier to make digital payments through feature phones. That means the user will not need a smartphone for UPI.
Features for family safety too
Jio Safety Shield is also provided in JioBharat phones. Features related to safe-calling are available in it. The company also provides location monitoring tools. With this, family members can see each other's location.
Which JioBharat phones will be available?
Jio has not yet clarified the names of the models. However, the specifications mentioned are similar to some existing models. These include 2.4 inch display and 2,000mAh battery. 4G connectivity is also provided in the phone. These specifications match those of JioBharat B1 and B2. However, these have not been confirmed by the company in the offer.
