Journey from Chief Minister of Gujarat to Prime Minister, PM Modi offered prayers at Shri Vinayak Temple on completion of 25 years of public life.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed 25 years of public life. His journey, which started with assuming the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, reached an important milestone on Wednesday. On this special occasion, the Prime Minister started the day by worshiping Lord Ganesha at Shri Vinayak Temple in Delhi and sought his blessings.

Worship in Shri Vinayak Temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Shri Vinayak Temple in Sarojini Nagar, Delhi on Wednesday. Here he worshiped Lord Ganesha with rituals and also wished well for the countrymen. Vinayak Temple holds a special identity among the South Indian community. The initiative to establish the temple took place around 1950.

When the Prime Minister reached the temple, enthusiasm was visible among the people present there. On the occasion of completion of 25 years of his public life, many programs are being organized across the country by BJP and the government.

The journey started from Gujarat

Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7 October 2001. At that time the state was going through many challenges like earthquake, drought and political instability. His political journey as Chief Minister later played a big role in national politics as well.

In 2013, BJP announced him as its Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. After this, in 2014, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the first time. After this, his government was formed in 2019 and 2024 also.

Programs being organized across the country

On completion of 25 years of PM Modi's public life, programs are being organized by BJP in different states. 'Seva Jyoti' program is also a part of this series. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and other senior party leaders will listen to the Prime Minister's virtual address at the Laser Valley ground in Gurugram. On this occasion, many leaders including Vice President CP Radhakrishnan congratulated the Prime Minister.
