Jharkhand Students Protest: Students have been protesting for the past 13 days at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, over alleged irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC examinations. The Hemant Soren government has now agreed to hold talks with these protesting students. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has formed a four-member ministerial committee to negotiate with them.
This committee will include four ministers from Hemant’s cabinet. According to sources, the committee is likely to include Higher Education Minister Sudibya Kumar Sonu, Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, Social Welfare Minister Chamara Linda, and Labor Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav. Previously, the government had sent the Special District Magistrate (SDO) and ADM (Law and Order) to interact with the students.
SDO had a conversation
Earlier, Ranchi’s Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDO) Kumar Rajat arrived at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium on Wednesday on behalf of the government. He told the students that the government was ready for talks. “Send a delegation of five or seven students,” he said. “The government is ready to resolve every issue through dialogue,” he said. However, the students gave a clear answer.

The students said that discussions will take place, but not behind closed doors. They will take place in front of cameras and in the presence of the media. Whatever is discussed will be publicly available. They say that this is not just an issue for a few individuals. It concerns the youth of the entire Jharkhand, and therefore, the entire process must be transparent.
Protests continue on the 13th day
Students in Ranchi continue to protest for the 13th day in a row over alleged irregularities in the JPSC, JSSC CGL, and several other competitive exams. What did CM Hemant Soren say on Jharkhand protest?
On Wednesday afternoon, Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Lok Bhavan to discuss the student protests and brief him on the situation. He stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation and that injustice will not be tolerated. The complaints are being investigated, and agencies are working diligently. Efforts will be made to resolve every issue through dialogue.
The Chief Minister stated that the government’s doors are open to everyone. Anyone with a concern can bring it to the government. Investigative agencies are doing their work. Once the investigation is complete, only the truth will emerge. He also stated that the issue of irregularities in recruitment exams is not limited to Jharkhand. Similar incidents have been reported in other states as well. Now, it has become a national issue. If necessary, discussions will be held with the Union Home Minister on this issue.
