Jude Bellingham enjoyed an unexpected interaction with Pakistani cricketers Usman Tariq and Fatima Sana during The Hundred.
On Saturday, August 1, the 23-year-old England and Real Madrid star attended Birmingham Phoenix’s The Hundred clash against Welsh Fire at Edgbaston as a co-owner of the franchise.
During the visit, Bellingham was seen spending time with the 31-year-old mystery spinner and the 24-year-old Pakistan women’s ODI captain.
Tariq and Sana are Pakistani international cricketers who signed for Birmingham Phoenix for the 2026 season of The Hundred, representing the women’s and men’s teams, respectively.
Having recently featured for England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Bellingham is spending his off-season back home. After receiving a warm welcome at Birmingham City, he headed to Edgbaston to support Birmingham Phoenix. He has previously revealed that cricket is his favourite sport to watch outside football.
In a video shared by the tournament’s official broadcaster, the Real Madrid midfielder faced spin deliveries from Tariq before the pair shared a warm hug. The England star also tried a few shots with the bat.
He also met Sana during the double-header at Edgbaston, with the pair posing for a beaming photo together.
Why does Jude Bellingham co-own Birmingham Phoenix?
Earlier this year, Bellingham invested in his hometown franchise by acquiring a 1.2% stake in Birmingham Phoenix. The team is co-owned by Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Knighthead Capital, the investment firm that also owns Birmingham City Football Club.
“I feel like I owe the city something. And this feels like a good way,” Jude Bellingham said, describing the investment as his way of giving back to the city.
