Julia Garner has shared an update on the highly anticipated Madonna biopic.
The actress was reported to be playing the Queen of Pop in her biopic however, it was later revealed that the project was kept on hold.
After the release of Michael Jackson’s biopic, Michaelearlier this year, pop fans expected to see Madonna’s life on the big screen.
Julia has commented on the anticipated project, teasing fans that it might not be a dead project after all.
Speaking to ELLEshe said “I think the movie has to get made. But we’ll see….”
Previously, Julia has insisted that if the project rolls out as planned, she will put her best foot forward to play the pop queen on screen.
She said “I just want to keep taking risks. I think that’s what’s going to resonate with people with my performances. That I gave everything, you know?”
The Vogue singer herself was on board to co-write the movie previously but later said she demand a “big budget”.
Madonna said “I worked on the script for two years and spent two years at Universal Studios with the line producers doing budgeting and casting.”
