How was the performance in the qualification round?
The team of Suruchi and Kamaljeet had scored 196 in the initial series, after which they were able to score 195 in the second series. After this, by scoring 196 points in the third, a total score of 587 was achieved, which included 29 inner-10s.
This was the last chance for the Indian team to win a medal in the 10 meter air pistol game. Kamaljeet had finished ninth and Suruchi had finished 26th in the qualification round and both could not make it to the individual finals.

In the final, the Indian pair maintained the lead from the beginning. After the first 10 shots he had scored 202.4. In the first attempt, Suruchi scored 10.4 and Kamaljeet scored 9.7, while in the second attempt Suruchi scored 10.2 and Kamaljeet scored 9.8. After this, the Indian pair maintained their lead in the next series with a score of 101.3. After which the Indian team pair was successful in winning the gold medal.
