Kangana has raised questions on a section of Bollywood by targeting Naseeruddin Shah. He alleged that when there are protests in the country on different issues, some people from the film industry raise their voice only on selected matters. During this time, Kangana also raised questions on Naseeruddin Shah's old statements and his alleged stance on Pakistan.
Actually, this controversy increased after Naseeruddin Shah's comment in which he had questioned the silence of Bollywood celebs in support of the students protesting for education reforms. In an interview given to 'The Wire', Naseeruddin Shah had said that people of the film industry will raise their voice when their conscience asks them to do so. He had also mentioned a saying about the silence of Bollywood. Kangana Ranaut reacted to this comment of Naseeruddin Shah. Even before this, Kangana had made sharp remarks about Naseeruddin Shah on social media. He had addressed the actor as 'fox'. Now Kangana told why she used such words for Naseeruddin Shah.
Kangana, in her response, said that she would prefer to be called a 'dog' rather than being called a 'fox' like Naseeruddin Shah. He accused the actor of allegedly raising his voice for the neighboring country by staying in India and taking advantage of the country. Kangana asked in this context that when will Bollywood's 'Pakistan love' end? Kangana also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that one of the reasons for criticizing Naseeruddin Shah was a video in which, according to him, objectionable and threatening things were said against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Describing the Prime Minister as India's representative in the world, Kangana said that she found it objectionable to say such things against him.
In her statement, Kangana also raised questions on the alleged double attitude of the film industry. He says that when there are protests on certain issues, many Bollywood celebrities join them and express their concern, but in other matters the same people remain silent. He also mentioned issues like the student protest in Jharkhand and the breach in the security of Parliament.
