Students of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad had protested against Chief Justice Justice Surya Kant. After this, the Bar Council of India issued an order banning the enrollment of students graduating from the institute. But on Thursday we had to step back from our decision. The Bar Council said in its revised order that all students are entitled to enroll in the State Bar Council of their choice. Further action will be taken only after receiving the investigation report.
The latest order said, 'The Council has discussed and deliberated in detail on the letter sent today by the Chairman of the Bar Council of India to the Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law and the Secretaries of all State Bar Councils.'

Amendment in Chairman's order
It further wrote, 'After detailed discussion, all the members are unanimous that as per the latest report, most of the students of NALSAR (students passing out in 2026) are innocent and they did not want to be involved in the disrespectful activity. Therefore, the Council modifies the order of the Chairman regarding the ban on enrollment of NALSAR students in the State Bar Council. All students will be entitled to enroll in the State Bar Council of their choice.
'Students will not be harassed without any mistake'
The Bar Council also said, 'It has also come to light from some reliable sources that some teachers and outsiders played an important role in instigating the innocent students. The Council will wait for the investigation report of the Vice-Chancellor and further action will be taken after receiving the report. No student will be harassed without his fault.

Let us tell you that earlier, Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra had said that no student graduating from NALSAR University of Law will be enrolled until the next order of the Bar Council comes. The council had also sought a report on the students who protested against calling Chief Justice Surya Kant for the convocation.
According to reports, about 450 students of the institute had protested against the CJI. He is accused of running a campaign against the Chief Justice. The Bar Council had written a letter to the University's Vice Chancellor Professor Srikrishna Dev Rao and the Bar Councils of all the states. In this, information was sought about the students running the campaign and orders were given to stop the enrolment.
