Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcming film ‘Daayra’ release date confirmed

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming thriller Daayra directed by Meghna Gulzar, is set to release in cinemas on September 18, 2026 with the makers confirming the date alongside new behind-the-scenes glimpses from the film’s sets.

The project marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran and has already generated strong interest due to its pairing and genre.

Daayra is inspired by true events and is described as an intense thriller exploring themes of crime, justice, and punishment.

Kapoor captioned the post sharing a BTS of the upcoming film “This one is for the books… Raw and unseen. A sneak peek behind the scenes of DAAYRA. #Daayra arrives in cinemas on 18th September.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared the release update hinting at the film’s central conflict.
