Ukraine blows up Moscow oil refinery as Zelenskiy pleads with Trump to end war

Ukraine launched a drone attack on an oil refinery in the capital of Russia, Moscow. Russian officials claim that multiple drones have crashed there. Various video images have gone viral, where it is seen how the sky is covered with fire and black smoke. It should be noted that this is the second attack on the oil refinery this week. Informed circles believe that it is part of Ukraine’s new strategy.

Russia’s defense ministry said on Thursday that its air defense system had destroyed 555 Ukrainian drones in various regions. About 200 of these drones were intercepted as they moved toward the Russian capital. But at the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin admitted that several drones had hit an oil refinery in Moscow. A shopping center also sustained minor damage.

It is good to say that earlier last Tuesday, a Ukrainian drone crashed into a Russian refinery. It is known that this refinery supplies about 40 percent of the gasoline and other oil products needed by Moscow’s large population. The fire is still burning there. Firefighters quickly put out the fire. It is clear from such attacks that Kiev’s goal is to worsen the country’s energy crisis. Meanwhile, Russia also continued to attack. Ukraine has been hit by Moscow airstrikes for the second time this week. Ballistic missiles were fired at the capital of Ukraine.

Incidentally, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky attended the G-7 conference during this war. He has spoken with US President Donald Trump along with other state leaders there. While talking about ending the war, Zelensky’s warning while talking to reporters later, if Ukraine burns, Moscow will burn! At the same time, he said, America is ready to provide their necessary support or ‘backstop’.

Meanwhile, since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, India’s position has been in favor of peace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again reminded that. He had a bilateral meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the G-7 conference in France. There, Modi reminded, it is very necessary to go back to the pre-war situation.
