Kargil to Kanyakumari running campaign supported by Skechers; runner Karthik Joshi’s progress towards a record
Thane, Dec. 12 (Rep): International ultra runner Karthik Joshi’s historic 4,200 km race from Kargil to Kanyakumari (K-to-K) has been supported by Skechers. Karthik, who reached Thane, has taken a step towards setting a new record by completing this campaign in 55 days.
Karthik has traversed the Zojila Pass, hilly roads, rugged terrain, highways and inter-city routes in the journey, which began on May 2 from the Kargil War Memorial. Running an average of 70 to 80 kilometers per day, he entered Maharashtra and participated in special running activities with local runners in Mumbai and Thane.

During the campaign, Karthik has been sporting a variety of running shoes including ‘Aero Burst’ and ‘Aero Spark’ by Skechers. Rahul Veera, Chief Executive Officer, Skechers South Asia, hailed Karthik’s tenacity, consistency and remarkable progress and wished him all the best in his Vikram campaign.
Karthik also described the journey as a great test of physical and mental strength, citing the support of people along the way as motivation to continue. Karthik Joshi, a resident of Indore, is counted among the emerging runners of India. It was said at this time that this campaign, which will move forward from Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities, will end with a record attempt at Kanyakumari.
