An all-round performance from Keemo Paul has set up the Jamaica Kingsmen for a massive win against the Patriots in the CPL 2026 game played in Jamaica.
He contributed a crucial knock and a decent spell, setting up a 51-run victory for the side, which jumped to second spot in the CPL 2026 points table.
After being invited to bat first, Jamaica Kingsmen lost the wickets of Kirk McKenzie and Keacy Carty on a duck to Saurabh Netravalkar.
With Wanindu Hasaranga dismissing Usman Khan for 13 runs, Jamaica Kingsmen lost three wickets in the powerplay.
With Reeza Hendricks and Rovman Powell at the crease, Kingsmen scored 42 runs in the powerplay.
After Reeza Hendricks’ dismissal for 19 runs, Rovman Powell and Keemo Paul put a solid partnership, stabilising the innings. They forged a 99-run partnership which included Paul’s fifty.
He went on to score 65 runs off 36 deliveries before being dismissed by Jason Holder. On the other hand, Powell added 49 runs before going back to the dugout.
With Andre Russell (14) and Hassan Khan (7) at the crease, Jamaica Kingsmen scored 181 runs for 6 wickets in their innings.

Saurabh Netravalkar and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged two wickets each, while Jason Holder and Obed bagged one wicket each.
Chasing 182 runs, Andre Fletcher (7) and Johnson Charles (11) opened the innings, but they failed to put up a stance, losing their wickets to Hassan Khan and Hunai Shah, respectively.
After Kyle Mayers got bowled out on a delivery from Keemo Paul, the Patriots lost their top order in the powerplay. St Kitts scored 45 runs in the first six overs.
Wickham was the highest run scorer for the side, scoring 37 runs. Apart from them Nikhil Chaudhary and Navin Bidaisee added 18 and 19 runs, respectively.
The rest of the line-up crumbled as the side got bowled out for 130 runs. Keemo Paul bagged three wickets while Andre Russell bagged two wickets. Hassan Khan, Hunain Shah and Vitel Lawes bagged one wicket each.
Keemo Paul was named Player of the Match. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Paul said, “I think definitely getting some runs for the team, you know. We were in a bit of a situation, and the coach gave me a role. He backed me. Also, you (Daren Ganga) motivated me earlier, telling me I was going to have a big game. So, thank you. But all in all, my batting pleased me a lot tonight.”
