Kejriwal questions PM Modi on detention of Kuldeep Kumar; Where are our MLAs?

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday alleged that the Delhi Police took away party MLA from East Delhi Kuldeep Kumar from his house. Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has also raised questions regarding this matter and has directly sought information about the MLA from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. AAP alleges that Delhi Police reached Kuldeep Kumar's house at around 4 am on Tuesday morning and took him with them. Party leaders claimed that the family and the party were not informed about the place where the MLA has been taken.

Arvind Kejriwal also raised questions on this matter through a social media post and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi where Kuldeep Kumar has been taken and in which case the police has taken him with them. AAP has also alleged that the CCTV cameras of Kuldeep Kumar's house were damaged while he was being taken. The party has raised questions on Delhi Police and BJP government regarding this action.

He claimed on social media platform Kejriwal alleged that the police broke the CCTV cameras of the MLA's house and also took the DVR with them. He said that no information is being given by the police in this regard. The AAP leader questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked that if an MLA can be taken from his home like this without any information or reason, then what will happen to the safety and rights of the common man. He made serious allegations against the Center and Delhi Police regarding this action and said that the country will not accept such action.

AAP leader Sanjeev Jha has also raised questions over the alleged transportation of MLA Kuldeep Kumar by the police. He claimed that around 4 am on Tuesday morning, people in plain clothes took away Kuldeep Kumar from his house. According to Sanjeev Jha, during this time the CCTV cameras of the MLA's house were damaged and the DVR was also taken away. He said that no information was given about Kuldeep Kumar till afternoon. The AAP leader said that he has been standing outside the office of DCP Eastern Range for about two and a half hours and has been trying to meet the DCP, but he is not getting any response. Sanjeev Jha asked the Delhi Police Commissioner whether raising voice against justice and killing of Dalits has now become a crime? He alleged that an attempt is being made to silence a sitting MLA by intimidating him. He said that no one's voice can be suppressed through police uniform and power.

According to Aam Aadmi Party, MLA Kuldeep Kumar was raising his voice for compensation and other demands for the family of the deceased after the murder of a sanitation worker in Kalyanpuri. The party says that Kuldeep Kumar had demanded Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to meet the family of the deceased. AAP alleged that instead of talking to the protesters, the MLA was allegedly taken to an undisclosed location.

Demand for one crore compensation and government job

On Monday, hundreds of sanitation workers and auto-tipper drivers from different areas of Delhi demonstrated at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in protest against the murder of sanitation worker Anil while on duty in Kalyanpuri. The protesters demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased and a permanent government job to a family member. The protesters said that unless their demands are met, they will not allow Anil's body to be taken from the hospital for cremation. He warned that auto-tippers will not be allowed to run on the roads in Delhi until the demands are met. The matter has taken a political turn following the demonstration by sanitation workers and claims that MLA Kuldeep Kumar was allegedly taken away by the police.
