Pune. Pune Rural Police has filed a 5,053-page charge sheet in the Ketan Aggarwal murder case. According to the police charge sheet, the conspiracy to make Ketan fall from the hill of Lohagarh Fort was hatched by his fiancee Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary. Police claim that during the incident, Siya first pushed Ketan with both her hands and then Chetan pushed him with his foot and made him fall into the ditch.
The charge sheet was filed in Vadgaon Maval Sessions Court on September 19. The police presented it on the 89th day of the stipulated period of 90 days. Now the court will review the allegations and evidence made in the charge sheet. Once the charges are framed, the way will be cleared for the trial to begin in the case.
Was engaged to Ketan even after marriage
According to police investigation, Siya met Chetan in the year 2025 through her brother. A relationship developed between the two and the police allege that both of them got married in December 2025 at Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan. Information about this marriage was reportedly limited to Sia, Chetan and her friend Ritesh Hange.
Despite this, Sia got engaged to Ketan in February 2026. Police say that Ketan and both the families were not aware of the relationship between Siya and Chetan. Later, preparations for the wedding of Ketan and Siya also started.
Attempts were made earlier also
In the charge sheet, the police have alleged that a plan was made earlier also to remove Ketan from the way. On June 14, Sia had taken Ketan to Lohagarh. According to the police, there he tried to push Ketan from the hill, but he could not fall down because of a tree.
After this, a plan was made to carry out the alleged conspiracy again. Police claim that the accused chose such a place from where the incident of falling could be made to appear as an accident.
Called again from fake Instagram account
During investigation, police allegedly discovered a fake Instagram account. It is alleged that Sia created this account using someone else's picture and talked to Ketan.
According to the police, through this account, Ketan was called to Lohagarh on June 18. He was prepared to come there on the pretext of a birthday surprise. Investigators later claimed to have recovered the deleted chats and digital data associated with the account through a forensic process.
Siya went ahead, Chetan came behind
According to the charge sheet, Sia reached Lohagarh with Ketan on June 18, while Chetan went there separately and was wearing a hoodie to hide his identity. Police allege that Sia took Ketan to the edge of the hill and then pushed him.
Chetan then allegedly pushed Ketan with his foot, causing him to fall into a deep ditch. According to the police, Ritesh Hange was also involved in the initial conspiracy, but due to fear of arrest he did not participate in the final incident.
Mobile and digital evidence based investigation
In preparing the chargesheet, apart from the statements of witnesses, the police have based mobile phones, chats, photos, call records, CCTV footage and other digital evidence. Investigators also reportedly recovered deleted messages and photos from the phone.
The final legal decision on the allegations made in the charge sheet has not been taken yet. The court will decide under which sections to frame charges and there will be a judicial scrutiny of the evidence presented by the police during the trial.
