INDIA alliance meeting: An important meeting of the opposition India Alliance is going to be held in the country's capital New Delhi on Wednesday. The process of opposition party leaders reaching Delhi for this meeting has started. This meeting is taking place at a time when there is political turmoil over differences in the Election Commission and Form 6 of the SIR. The opposition is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accusing him of arbitrariness.

In the meeting of the India alliance, efforts will be made to finalize the plan for a joint movement over the alleged irregularities in the SIR process. Apart from this, the strategy to put pressure on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for resignation will also be discussed. If sources are to be believed, a draft notice was ready for a fresh attempt to bring a motion in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to remove the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and its approval will be discussed in the meeting. In this meeting, President of the country's largest opposition party Congress Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh and K.C. Venugopal will be included.
Former West Bengal CM and TMC's Mamata Banerjee, SP President Akhilesh Yadav, DMK chief MK Stalin, leaders of parties like CPI, CPI(M), NCP(SP) and Shiv Sena (UBT) will be present. Meanwhile, posters against the leaders of India Alliance were seen at many places in Delhi. In these posters, leaders of opposition parties were accused of adopting double standards for EVMs and the Election Commission.
