Kia India, the country's leading mass-premium automaker, today announced its wholesale sales figures for August 2026, registering a growth of 48.1 percent over the same month last year. The company sold 29,042 units in August 2026 as against 19,608 units in August 2025, reflecting continued customer preference for a wide range of vehicles in different body styles and powertrains. This is Kia India's best ever wholesale sales in the month of August since its inception.

This pace has continued throughout the year with Kia India's year-to-date (YTD) 2026 wholesale sales reaching 220,991 units, up over 20.1 percent from 183,882 units in the same period in 2025. The company's consistent performance is attributed to its focus on understanding and responding to the changing mobility needs of India's customers, from first-time SUV buyers to those looking for premium, feature-packed and electrified options.

Selling an average of over 10,000 units per month since its launch in January, the Seltos and Sonet, which remain customer favorites in Kia India's mass-premium portfolio, have maintained a strong sales base for the year. Both the models have established their appeal among consumers in the compact and sub-compact SUV segments through a combination of design, technology and value, and continue to be the primary drivers of the brand's sales in India.

The company's electric vehicle line-up, led by the recently launched Cirrus EV, has also received an encouraging response from consumers. As consumers in India increasingly seek electrified mobility options, the Syros EV extends Kia's commitment to offering a variety of powertrain options, giving customers the freedom to choose a vehicle that fits their lifestyle, usage patterns and sustainability goals.

Supporting this shift towards electrification, Kia India's growing EV range is backed by one of the industry's strongest proprietary propositions, which address the three key concerns for EV adoption – cost, long-term battery peace of mind and resale value. Our industry-leading Assured Buyback Program, Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) and Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty are designed to make electric mobility easier, more convenient and more reliable for consumers in India.
