Kia launched its flagship seven-seater SUV, the Sorento, in the market last week. We have seen walkaround videos of the all-new Sorento online, and the SUV has also started reaching dealerships. Kia has also started deliveries of the Sorento SUV. Here, we have a video of what looks like the delivery of India’s first Kia Sorento SUV.
The video has been shared by Rohan K Vlogs on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger mentions that his family took delivery of a brand-new Kia Sorento HTK diesel variant.
The vlogger claims that this is India’s first Kia Sorento to be delivered because the family took delivery of the SUV on the same day as its launch. He mentions that they took delivery at around 4 pm on September 4, 2026, from a Kia dealership in Sonipat, Haryana.
The vlogger is not in India, so he asked his friends to record a video of the car and share their experience. As mentioned above, the family bought the HTK diesel variant, which comes with a 2.2-litre turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed DCT gearbox. The engine generates 193 PS and 442 Nm of torque.
The video gives us a quick tour of the exterior and interior of the SUV, and the driver also shares his impressions after driving it. He seemed pretty happy with the overall fit and finish of the interior.
The HTK variant comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, connected-car technology with OTA updates, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a digital driver display, a 360-degree camera with a blind-spot monitor, side parking sensors, paddle shifters, 64-colour ambient lighting, projector LED headlights, LED tail lamps, satin-chrome finishes on the front and rear faux skid plates, 19-inch alloy wheels, leatherette materials on the doors, door-sill guards with ‘Sorento’ engraving, alloy-finish pedals, an electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and more.
The driver was really happy with the space and comfort that the Sorento offers. He mentions that the SUV offers good ride quality and comes with leatherette upholstery and soft-touch materials on the doors and dashboard, which give it a premium look and feel.
He was also happy with the performance of the SUV. He calls the diesel engine exhilarating and mentions that he is pushed back into the seat whenever he presses the accelerator hard.
The vlogger mentions that the SUV is suitable for long drives, as you wouldn’t feel tired even after driving the vehicle for thousands of kilometres in a single stretch. The person in the video also says that the Sorento is a good option for customers who are looking for an SUV other than the Mahindra XUV 7XO and the Toyota Innova Crysta. He keeps coming back to the premium-looking cabin and features and calls it a value-for-money product. The diesel engine is refined, and the cabin feels well insulated too.
The HTK diesel variant of the Sorento SUV with the seven-seater configuration is priced at Rs 32.49 lakh, ex-showroom. In the coming days, we hope to see video reviews of the 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong-hybrid variant as well.
