Rijiju said that insulting Lord Ram is in the nature of the Congress party. Taking aim at the opposition, Rijiju said, these people create ruckus outside the Parliament and do not allow the proceedings of the House to continue. They do not listen to others. They want to misuse the time given to Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge every time. We cannot tolerate this. Every time they stand up in the name of Leader of Opposition and keep raising the same issue all day long, this will not work. The House belongs to everyone, not just the Leader of Opposition. Those who have been given notice should be given a chance to speak.
Rijiju told the Rajya Sabha Chairman, “I want to object to the way the House is being subverted. You gave Ajay Maken three opportunities, and all three times he said he was speaking on the bill, then deviated. If the opposition wants to protest, they should do so directly; they shouldn’t use the microphone to joke around like this. Is anyone here stupid? Are we children? The Leader of the Opposition has never had as much opportunity in this Rajya Sabha as he does now, yet these people are working to undermine the dignity of the House.”
