Actress Malaika Arora recently purchased a new car, the Thar Rock, which costs around ₹28 lakh. After purchasing the car, the actress performed a puja for it. During the ceremony, she wore a deep-neck top, which was also quite deep at the back, and paired it with capris and sandals. Malaika is now being trolled on social media for this look.
Many users on X objected to the fact that Malaika wore shoes while performing the puja. Some even commented on her attire, saying it was inappropriate for a puja.
For the occasion, Malaika opted for a sky blue and white striped co-ord set. It featured a halter-neck knit top with a deep V-neckline and fitted bodices, sleeveless, paired with matching high-waisted flared knit pants. The outfit became a topic of discussion online, with many users expressing their disapproval.
One user, X, wrote, “She didn’t even take off her slippers while performing the puja and aarti. Watch the video again. Haha. You’re expecting too much from her.” Another user commented, “She’s a Christian, so why is she doing this?”
Another defended Malaika, saying, “She bought a new and expensive car… It must be a dream car for many people… Her success should be applauded.” A fourth user commented, “She should at least take off her slippers. She does all this just for photo ops.” Another comment read, “And that too wearing sandals?? Really? This is too much – this was too much of a show-off.”
Since its launch, the Mahindra Thar Rock has become one of the most popular SUVs among celebrities and automobile enthusiasts. People are loving it immensely. Malaika also currently owns a luxury Range Rover, which she purchased just a few months ago. This vehicle is priced at over ₹3 crore (approximately $30 million).
