The second match of the 5-match T20 series between India and New Zealand is to be played on Saturday (24 October). A day before this, Kumar Kushagra has been included in Team India's squad as a cover for Ishan Kishan. Number-1 T20 batsman Ishaan is out of the second match due to a right leg injury. In such a situation, the selection committee has added Kushagra's name to the squad.
Jharkhand's wicketkeeper batsman Kushagra is currently in Christchurch. He has gone on New Zealand tour with India-A team. Earlier, Kushagra was also included in the Indian team for the last two matches of the upcoming 5-match ODI series against the Kiwis.
