Asian Games 2026 Live Updates, September 24: India return to action on Thursday with a busy medal schedule, led by Roshibina Devi’s women’s 60kg sanda final in wushu and a series of rowing finals in the morning.
Roshibina will be the first major medal contender in action when she takes on China’s Xiaoyu Zhang at 6:05 AM, with gold at stake. The Indian had reached the final with a 2-0 semifinal win over Indonesia’s Thania Kusumaningtyas and will now look to move up from her bronze-medal finishes at the 2018 and 2022 Asian Games.
Rowing will also be a major focus, with the men’s single sculls and double sculls finals scheduled from 5:10 AM. Balraj Panwar will be among India’s medal hopefuls after progressing to the men’s singles sculls final on Wednesday. India will also feature in the women’s four and men’s quadruple sculls finals.
The day will also feature Indian athletes across boxing, squash, table tennis, fencing, canoeing, swimming, gymnastics and athletics.
Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh will compete in the men’s 100m heats, while the evening athletics programme includes the women’s 10,000m final and mixed 4x400m relay final.
