Mumbai: In line with the Government of India's policy of promoting coastal shipping as a fuel-efficient, cost-effective and environment-friendly mode of transport, the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) officially awarded 'Award of Concession' to 'AMNS Paradip Logistics Private Limited (APLPL), an SPV of AM/NS India, for the mechanization of CQ-III Berth for dry bulk cargo handling on a captive basis with a capacity of 10 MTPA. has been approved. Shri Deepak Arora, Chief – Corporate Affairs, AM/NS India, was presented with the award by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, at a special ceremony held at Biju Convention, Paradip, Odisha on 21 August 2026.

The concession, granted for a period of 30 years, will ensure seamless movement of cargo, enhance AM/NS India's efficiency and strengthen the company's commitment to environmental sustainability. This arrangement will enable APLPL to handle shipments of iron ore pellets from AM/NS India's pellet plant complex through a fully mechanized conveyor system directly connected to berths at PPA. Coastal shipping of iron ore pellets from Paradip to Hazira by AM/NS India is an established eco-friendly mode of transportation. Captive use of the CQ-III berth will not only support AM/NS India's long-term growth, but will also serve as a critical link in the company's robust and environmentally friendly supply chain pipeline.

The award marks a significant milestone in AM/NS India's journey to strengthen logistics capabilities and modernize port operations. This reaffirms AM/NS India's commitment to operational excellence, innovation and partnership to make Paradip a global maritime gateway.

On this occasion Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Industry, Skill Development and Technical Education, Government of Odisha, Jagatsingpur MP Shri Vibhu Prasad Tarai, Paradip Port Authority Chairman Shri P. L. Haranadh (IRTS), Paradip Port Authority Vice Chairman Shri T. Venu Gopal, Head of Odisha Operations of AM/NS India Mr. U.S.R. Senior PPA officials and other corporate leaders from Paradeep were present along with Raju.
