The massive fire that broke out in a coaching center located in a commercial building on Monday afternoon in the Aliganj (Purnia) area of ​​Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is now taking the form of a terrible tragedy. According to information received from sources and eyewitnesses, the rescue team has so far pulled out many dead bodies from the debris and smoke. However, while talking to the media, Brajesh Pathak has confirmed the death of 15 people. During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak choked.

The smoke and flames inside the building were so severe that there is a serious possibility that many students may be burnt alive. According to administrative corridors and hospital sources, the total number of people killed in this tragic accident could be more than 10. The injured have been admitted to King George’s Medical University (KJMU) Trauma Center for treatment, where their treatment is ongoing.

Relief and rescue teams have so far evacuated 7 people safely from the spot. Administration and police teams are present at the spot and the incident is being investigated. It is feared that the death toll may increase.

Contact affected families: CM Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi has expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the fire incident in Lucknow. The Chief Minister directed the officials to contact the affected families, provide all possible help and make arrangements for proper treatment of the injured.

Brajesh Pathak cried – I have seen 14 dead bodies with my own eyes

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the fire broke out suddenly, it was an animation centre. Children used to come here to learn animation i.e. making cartoons. The injured are being sent to KGMC Trauma Centre. His age was around 16-17 years. A high-level inquiry into the incident has been ordered. Principal Secretary (Home) and DGP have been called to the spot and directed to investigate the cause and ensure strict action to prevent such incidents in future, I have seen 14 dead bodies with my own eyes.

CM Yogi canceled all his scheduled programs

In view of the seriousness of the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has canceled all his scheduled programs and is returning from Aligarh. Today CM Yogi had reached Aligarh tour. According to administrative sources, the Chief Minister has instructed senior officials to immediately speed up the relief and rescue operations and conduct a detailed investigation of the incident.

At present, teams of fire department, police and district administration are present at the spot and relief work is going on. The cause of the fire is being investigated, in which the possibility of short circuit is also emerging, but confirmation is yet to be done.

Situation worsened due to suffocation, rescue continues

Relief and rescue teams are carrying out continuous search operations in the rooms and library block inside the building with the help of gas masks and modern equipment. Eyewitnesses say that the fire spread so fast that the students did not get a chance to get out. According to some people, the path to the roof of the building was closed, due to which students could not run up and were exposed to the poisonous black smoke spreading below. Rescue work is going on with the help of more than 14 vehicles and hydraulic platforms of the fire department. The administration says that the priority is to safely evacuate all the people trapped inside.

Deputy CM, DGP and ACS home reached ground zero

Considering the sensitivity and magnitude of the incident, top officials and politicians of the Uttar Pradesh government immediately reached the spot. It is being told that the relief and rescue operations are being directly monitored in the presence of many top officials including DGP Rajeev Krishna and ACS Home Sanjay Prasad. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the entire administrative staff has been put on alert and special teams of doctors at KGMU Trauma Center are busy treating the injured.

People jumped from the balcony, fire brigade entered by cutting the wall

The orgy of fire and smoke was so terrible that the students and other people trapped inside the building could not find a way to get down. Due to fear of suffocation and burning, many people jumped down from the balcony of the building to save their lives. Meanwhile, to safely rescue the children trapped inside, the brave fire brigade personnel showed wisdom and entered inside by breaking the concrete wall of the building. Relief and rescue operations are continuing on a war footing and many people have been evacuated safely.
